Albion grads power GCC to diamond win

Albion High graduates Connor Barleben and John Warne belted back-to-back home runs Sunday to power the Genesee Community College baseball team to a 5-3 victory over the visiting Capital City Reds from Canada.
Barleben, who is hitting .326, has 5 home run on the season while Warne, who is hitting .308, has 3 round-trippers.
Barleben and Warne both had 3 hits.
Barleben also picked up the win on the mound. He is averaging 8.5 strikeouts per game to date.
GCC completed the doubleheader sweep by taking the second game 10-3.
