Albion grads earn GCC athletic honors

Two Albion High graduates received honors this evening at the Genesee Community College athletic awards program. Connor Barleben, who played shortstop and pitcher for the Cougars, received the Coaches Award for baseball while Kelsey Schmitt, who played softball and soccer for the Cougars, was named Female Scholar Athlete of the Year. Barleben also was recognized as the president of LEADS (Leaders in Education, Athletics and Development of Student-Athletes).
