Albion grad helps GCC score sweep

Albion High graduate Kelsey Schmitt helped the Genesee Community College softball team score a doubleheader sweep over visiting Cayuga Community College Monday by scores of 8-0 and 24-3.
Schmitt, who s hitting .406 on the season, had a two-run triple to key a big six run fifth inning scoring burst for GCC in the opener.
Schmitt, a freshman, then had two hits, two RBIs and two runs scored in the second game.
GCC is now 9-7 on the season.
