Albion High graduate and St. John Fisher College senior Jennifer Knaak helped power the Cardinals to a victory in the Super Regionals Saturday to earn their first ever berth in the NCAA Division III Softball World Series.

Knaak banged out 3 hits and drove in 3 runs as St. John Fisher defeated Manhattanville College 9-2 to win the NCAA Rochester Super Regional.

Knaak put St. John Fisher ahead for good when she banged out a two-run triple in the first inning.

With the Cardinals still holding a slender 2-0 lead, Knaak later hit a key RBI double in the fifth frame.

Knaak, a four year starter in the outfield for the Cadrinals, has a career batting average of .337 with 25 doubles, 8 triples, 4 home runs and 78 RBIs.

The Cardinals will face Tyler Texas in the opening round of the World Series in Salem, Va.
