Albion grad gets win on the mound for Utica College

Albion High graduate Ronnie Mannella got off to a strong start to the season on the mound for the Utica College baseball team on Tuesday.
Mannella hurled 2.2 innings of shutout ball in relief to earn the victory as Utica nipped Crown College 6-5 at Winter Haven Fla. to complete the sweep of a doubleheader.
Mannella allowed two hits and struck out two to earn his first win of the young season as Utica improves to 3-1.
Mannella is a senior majoring in business economics.
