Albion golfers post key win over Akron
Albion posted a narrow 235-239 victory over Akron at DanDee Farms this afternoon in a key Niagara-Orleans League golf match.
Patrick Ricker took medalist honors for Albion with a 40 as Carson Bader added a 46 and Nik Newton a 48.
Drew Romesser had a 41 and Jack Klodzinski a 45 for Akron
The Purple Eagles and Tigers are now both 3-1 in N-O competition.
In the other N-O matches, Wilson (3-0) defeated Newfane (0-4) 231-266 and Medina (2-0) downed Barker (1-3) 260-266.
Nathan Meyers and Sam Georga shared medalist honors with identical rounds of 44 and Patrick Seeley had a 46 for Wilson which next visits Albion in a key match Tuesday.
Sam Capen led Newfane with a 47.
Ian Wagner shot 42, Dylan Lonnen 47 and Aidan Paul 48 for Medina.
Barker’s Jake Harris took medalist honors with s 39.
