Albion golfers nip Akron

Albion nipped Akron 251-252 at DanDee Farms this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League golf match.

Nick Penna shot a 45 and Adam Sills and Jared Fearby both carded rounds of 48 to lead the way for Albion.

Akron’s Brendan Murty shared medalist honors with a 45.

Albion is now 3-8 and Akron 0-11.

Defending champion Wilson stayed perfect at 11-0 by downing host CSAT 208-243 as Brandon Seider earned medalist honors with a 39.

Connor Seeley carded a 40, Jonah Miller a 41 and Ben Kelly a 42 for the Lakemen.

CSAT slips to 2-8.

Newfane bested Roy-Hart 229-237 to improve to 7-3.

Connor Duncan took medalist honors with s 42 and Aiden Herlan had a 44 for Newfane.

Hogan Lang carded a 43 for Roy-Hart which is now 5-5.

The Barker at Medina match was postponed until September 30 due to aeriation work at Shelridge.
