Albion golfers earn first victory

Medina tops Roy-Hart

Snapping a season long eight match losing streak, Albion defeated CSAT 276-295 this afternoon in Niagara-Orleans League golf action at Hickory Ridge.

Dyer Benjovski shot 45 to lead the way for Albion.

In other N-O competition, Medina defeated Roy-Hart 237-259 at Shelridge to improve to 8-1 and stay close behind front-running Wilson, which bested rival Newfane 219-242 to stay perfect at 9-0. The Mustangs next visit the Lakemen in a key match for first place on Friday. Akron also downed Barker 237-246 to move into a tie with the Raiders for third place at 5-3-1.

Ian Wagner took medalist honors with a 41 and Gage Masters shot 45 to lead Medina.

Justin Czaja led Roy-Hart with a 48.

Connor Seeley earned medalist honors with a 40 for Wilson as Nate Fox added a 41 and Jonah Miller a 42 for the Lakemen.

Connor Borchert and Brennan Murty both shot 45 to set the pace for Akron while Barker’s Brad Wilson took medalist honors with s 43.
