Albion girls win N-O soccer opener
A goal in each half earned Albion a 2-0 victory over host Newfane this afternoon in a season opening Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer game.
Albion scored what proved to be the game winning goal late in the first half as a corner kick by Nikki Creasey went off a Newfane defender and into the Lady Panthers net for an own goal.
Abby Scanlan added an insurance goal for the Purple Eagles in the second half off an assist from Leah Pritchard.
