Albion girls to open sectionals at home

Seeded No. 2, Albion will open Section VI Class A2 girls basketball playoff action at home at 7 p.m. Thursday.
The Purple Eagles (12-6) will host the winner of Tuesday’s No. 10 Iroquois vs. No. 7 Cheektowaga matchup in a quarterfinal round contest.
Medina, which is seeded No. 12, will open Class B1 playoff action at No. 5 Eden at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
In Class B2, No. 13 Roy-Hart will visit No. 4 Salamanaca at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Niagara-Orleans League champion Wilson is seeded No. 1 in the B2 bracket.
In Class C1, No. 5 Barker visits No. 4 Silver Creek at 7 p.m. Thursday.
