Albion girls split at Lake Placid Tournament
Rebounding from an opening round loss, Albion earned a split at the Lake Placid softball tournament today by defeating the host Lady Bombers 15-3 this afternoon.
Lexi Wolck and Skyler Smith both had 3 hits and Isabella Prest, Brylie Hapeman, Janae Doty and Kendall Eibl 2 each for Albion which broke the game open with a big 9 run fifth inning. Wolck’s hits included a home run. Wolck, Hapeman and Doty each drove in a pair of runs.
In the opening round, Albion lost to Beekmantown 26-9.
Hapeman, Doty and Paige Derisley each had a pair of hits for the Purple Eagles.
