Albion girls romp; Wilson downs Medina

Albion downed visiting Newfane 47-17 this evening to improve to 5-1 in Niagara-Orleans League girls basketball action.

Kirsten Struble scored 10, Lexi Wolck 9 and Sarah Gregori and Brylie Hapeman 8 each to lead Albion’s balanced attack.

The Purple Eagles led 25-11 at the half as Struble scored 7 in the opening period.

Wilson 57, Medina 35
Staying perfect at 8-0 in N-O competition, Wilson bested visiting Medina 57-35.

Leading by a narrow 10-8 margin after one quarter, Wilson used a big 26-4 second period scoring surge to break the contest open.

Skylar Munnikhuysen scored 8 of her 19 points, Anna Frericks hit three threes and Izzy Dinse tallied 6 of her 13 points in the decisive second period which vaulted Wilson out to a commanding 38-12 lead at the half.

Camri King and Tyesha Robinson both scored 9 and Maddie Williams 8 for Medina which is now 4-3 in N-O action.

Barker 43, Roy-Hart 39
Sydnie Luckman scored 12, Gabby Baker 9 and Kylie Annable 8 to lead the way for Barker which is now 1-5.

Ashley Hill scored 11 and Lexie Lovewell 8 for Roy-Hart which slips to 0-7.
