Albion girls roll past Barker

Exploding for eight goals in the first half, Albion rolled to a 10-1 victory over host Barker this afternoon to open the Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer season.

Emily Blanchard scored 4 goals, Mariah Elsenheimer 3 and Vivian Rivers 1 for Albion in the decisive first half.

Elsenheimer and Brylie Hapeman also each netted a goal in the second half.

Blanchard also had 3 assists and Katie Mann 2.

Malorie Gross scored Barker’s goal.

Albion’s Emily Blanchard looks to move the ball up field against Barker’s Heather Potter.

Wilson 4, Akron 0

Wilson opened defense of its N-O title with a 4-0 victory over visiting Akron.

Wilson jumped out to a 3-0 first half lead on two goals by Jen Darlak and one by Kayla Neumann.

Lauren Courturier netted Wilson’s lone second half tally as Emily Kelly earned the shutout in goal.

Newfane 10, CSAT 1

Newfane roared out to a commanding 7-0 half-time advantage in route to posting a 10-1 victory at CSAT.

Emily Foltz scored 3 goals and Kaylee Heschke 2 to spearhead the attack for Newfane which next visits Albion on Tuesday.
