Albion girls rally to edge Barker
Rebounding from an early 6-0 deficit, Albion rallied to nip visiting Barker 10-8 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League softball game.
Albion scored twice in the second, third and fourth innings to pull even at 6-6 and then took the lead for good at 9-6 on a key three-run double by Aly Knaak in the fifth inning.
Kenzi Hapeman had 4 hits, Emaini Poole 3 and Bryne Dysard and Hannah Hinkley 2 each for Albion which improves to 4-3.
Sydnie Luckman had a grand slam home run in the first inning and Anna Bowerman 2 hits, including a double, for Barker.
Barker 20, Newfane 5
Barker bested Newfane 20-5 on Friday as Mia Herman had 4 hits, including a pair of doubles. Bowerman, Chloe Lee, Jessalynn Coen and Rachel Sutter each had 3 hits.
