Albion girls rally past Lady Rams

Albion bunched all of its scoring into a big seventh inning rally to nip host Roy-Hart 4-3 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League softball game.

Winning pitcher Meghan Hurley doubled in two runs while Ashley Bocach and Kelsee Soule both had RBI singles to key Albion’s decisive rally.

Roy-Hart had built up a 3-0 lead by scoring solo runs in the second, third and sixth innings.

Albion is now 3-1 and Roy-Hart 2-2 in N-O action.

In other N-O games, Akron (3-0) took over sole possession of first place by blanking visiting Medina (2-1) 8-0 on a one hitter by Mattlie Klein who struck out 8. Shay Carberry drove in three runs and Sarah Schultz had a double and two RBIs for the Lady Tigers.

Newfane improved to 2-1 by downing Barker (0-3) 9-3 as Olivia Littman had two doubles and a pair of singles. Erika Moeller had two hits for Barker.

Wilson (1-2) outlasted CSAT (0-3) 22-14 as Jen Darlak had a triple, home run and 5 RBIs and Anthonena DeLisi a triple and 4 RBIs.
