Trailing 2-0 at the half, Albion came storming back down the stretch rallying for three goals in the last 14 minutes to nip Bishop Kearney 3-2 this afternoon in the consolation game of the Kendall girls soccer tournament.

Mariah Elsenheimer, who earned the Max Preps New York State Player of the Week honor for the opening week of the season, ignited the Albion comeback with a goal at the 26 minute mark of the second half off an assist from Emily Blanchard.

Blanchard then pulled the Purple Eagles even at 2-2 when she scored with only three minutes remaining.

Mikayla Yaskulski then completed the Purple Eagles huge comeback when she netted the game winning goal with just 11 second remaining.

“We turned it up in the second half,” said Albion Coach Bruce Blanchard whose Purple Eagles are now 2-4 on the season.
