Albion girls post win over Medina
Building up a commanding 34-7 half-time advantage, Albion went on to defeat visiting Medina 53-20 this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League girls basketball game.
Paige Derisley scored 13 and Aly Knaak 10 to lead Albion as Kendall Derisley added 9, Honesty Little 8, Ryan Olles and Melissa Robinson 4, Abbie Pappalardo and Maya Knaak 2 and Quinn McCue 1.
Lily Carpenter scored 7, Janiyah Holloway 5 and Anya Bloom 4 for Medina.
Albion is 2-0 and Medina 0-2 in N-O action.
Newfane 55, Roy-Hart 50
Newfane turned back a big fourth quarter (21 points) Roy-Hart rally to earn a narrow 55-50 win.
Lauren Boudeman scored 14, Julia Dumais 13 and Rachel Chunco and Hannah Hambruch 8 each to lead the way for Newfane which led 29-20 at half-time.
Rileigh McCabe scored 16 and Shelby Wolf 13 to pace Roy-Hart as Claire Halstead and Miah Glena both chipped in with 7.
It was the N-O opener for Newfane which Roy-Hart slips to 0-2.
Akron 65, Barker 55
Sydnie Luckman scored 24 and Serena Harris 19 for Barker in the 65-55 loss at Akron.
