Albion girls post win over Barker
Building up a 25-10 half-time advantage, Albion went on to defeat visiting Barker 44-22 this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League girls basketball game.
Natalie DiCureia scored 7 to lead Albion’s balanced attack as Cassidy Wolcott and Sierra Newton both added 6, Caitlynn Snook and Brylie Hapeman 5 and Janae Doty and Tessa Pettit 4.
Albion proves to 8-3 while Barker slips to 2-8.
Newfane 54, Medina 36
Newfane, which has already locked up the N-O title, posted a 54-36 victory over visiting Medina to stay perfect at 11-0.
Paige Emborsky scored 20 and Emily Foltz 9 for Newfane which led 21-4 after one period, 33-11 at the half and 52-20 at the three-quarter mark.
Maddie Williams scored 15 and Camri King 11 for Medina which slips to 2-8.
Akron 67, Roy-Hart 47
Helena Hill scored 18, Neely Abrams 17, Darion Jonathan 16 and Jessee Jonathan 15 to spark Akron (6-4) to a 67-47 victory over Roy-Hart (1-10).
Skyler Christopher and Meghan Washington each scored 9 for Roy-Hart as Maddy Glena and Maddie Fry both had 6.
