Albion girls host sectional opener Tuesday
Seeded No. 8 Albion (7-12) will host No. 9 Maryvale (10-10) ) at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the opening round of the Section VI Class B1 girls basketball playoffs.
The winner will advance to a quarterfinal contest at top seeded City Honors (20-0) on Friday.
Also in Class B1, No. 13 Medina (1-19) visits No. 4 Burgard (13-1) at 7 p.m. Tuesday at MST Prep.
In Class B2 openers on Tuesday involving Niagara-Orleans League teams, No. 9 Akron (7-12) visits No. 8 Cleveland Hill (7-12), No. 4 Newfane (13-7) hosts No. 13 Allegany-Limestone (2-15) and No. 10 Roy-Hart (4-15) visits No. No. 7 Buffalo Arts (9-11) at Hutch -Tech. The Akron/Cleve Hill winner will visit top seeded Wilson (15-5) on Friday.
