Albion girls edge past Medina

Albion rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to outlast visiting Medina 14-13 this afternoon in a season opening Niagara-Orleans League softball game.

Trailing 13-11, Albion rallied for the win in the bottom of the seventh on an error and a two-run single by Ellen Narburgh. Olivia Prest also had a hit to help key the two out rally.

Medina had rebounded from an 11-6 deficit by scoring seven times in the top of the seventh to take the 13-11 lead. A double by Destiny Satkowski and five walks keyed the Mustangs rally. Satkowski also belted a three run homer in the fourth inning.

Natalie DiCureia had three hits for Albion as Meghan Hurley, Savannah Allen and Angela Tarricone each had two.

In the JV game, Medina defeated Albion 18-5 as Alexis Neuman and Ashlee Howell both had 2 hits while Lacey Kenward scored 4 runs and Alyssa Beyer 3.

Roy-Hart 10, CSAT 2
Trailing 2-0, Roy-Hart erupted for seven runs in the fourth inning to key the victory over CSAT.

A three-run double by Kayla Brown highlighted the decisive rally for the Lady Rams which also included two-run single by Lindsay Yates and RBI singles by Lexie Lovewell and Madi Hiddie.

Taylor Fry pitched the first six innings for Roy-Hart giving up 2 hits and striking out 9. Lovewell hurled the final frame fanning 2.

 Roy-Hart is now 2-0 in N-O action.

Wilson 9, Barker 1
Sarah DeVole hurled a 4 hitter with 6 strikeouts to lead Wilson to a 9-1 win over Barker.

Anna Bryer and Beka Blasius both had 3 hits and 3 stolen bases for Wilson.

Notre Dame 11, Kendall 3
Notre Dame scored three times in both the first and third innings and four times in the second to earn the 11-3 Genesee Region League in over Kendall.

Taylor Kingsbury had an RBI double, Chelsea Wright two singles and an RBI and Casey Menge an RBI single for Kendall.
