Albion girls down Medina to even record

Regaining the .500 mark at 4-4, Albion downed host Medina 48-29 this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League girls basketball game.
Aly Knaak scored 10 and Honesty Little, Sydney Mulka and Madison Hughson 8 each to lead the way for Albion as Ryan Olles added 5, Abby Scanlan 4, Olivia Krenning and Aurora Serafin 2 and Demi Doward 1.
Anya Bloom scored 9, Faithann Vanderwalker 8, Anna Cruz Robb 6, Amaya Cleveland 3, Paige Adkins 2 and Lily Carpenter 1 for Medina.
Albion jumped out to a 20-7 first quarter lead as Knaak scored 5 and Little and Mulka 4 each.
The Purple Eagles went on to hold leads of 30-14 at the half and 42-22 after three quarters.
Barker 46, Roy-Hart 40
Sydnie Luckman scored 17, Courtney Hillman 14 and Sarah Outten 9 to lead Barker to a 46-40 win over Roy-hart.
Shelby Wolf scored 11 to lead Roy-Hart which trailed 22-18 at the half.
Wilson 34, Akron 22
Defending champion Wilson opened up a commanding three game lead in the N-O title race by nipping runner-up Akron 34-32.
Bella Lemke scored 11 and Kenzie Beyer 10 for Wilson which improves to 8-0 as Akron slips to 5-3.
N-O Standings: Wilson 8-0, Akron 5-3, Albion 4-4, Roy-Hart 4-4, Barker 3-5, Newfane 2-2, Medina 0-8.
