Albion girls down Medina as 8 score goals

Eight players contributed goals as Albion downed rival Medina 11-0 in a Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer game this evening.

Julia Button, Kailee Anstey and Cami London each scored 2 goals for Albion as Kenzie Snook, Rori Higgins, Olivia Brooks, Shayla Higgins and Bailey Gonzalez each netted 1. Button also had 4 assists and Mia Standish 2.

Akron 2, Wilson 2 OT
Rebounding from a 2-0 half-time deficit, Akron rallied to earn a 2-2 overtime tie with Wilson in a key N-O contest.

Abby Gerstung and Aleyna Susfolk scored second half goals for Akron which keeps a hold on sole possession of the N-O lead at 4-0-1,

Wilson is now 2-0-2.

Roy-Hart 8, Newfane 2
Roy-Hart improved to 3-1-1 in N-O action with an 8-2 win over Newfane.

Kaitlin Mettler scored 4 goals, Maria Trombley 2 and Ruth Walker 1 for the Lady Rams. Trombley and Kylie Churchill also both had a pair of assists.

Medina’s Aurora Owczarczak works to advance the ball against the Albion duo of Kenzie Snook (4) and Ava Woolston (2).
