Albion girls blank Roy-Hart for 10th victory

Staying undefeated at 10-0 overall, Albion blanked visiting Roy-Hart 3-0 this evening on Homecoming in a Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer game.

Albion, which is now 6-0 in N-O competition, jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half as Abby Scanlan scored from Lexi Wolck nine minutes in and Mariah Plain tallied off an assist from Nicolina Creasey with three minutes remaining.

Wolck rounded out the Albion scoring with a second half goal off an assist from Scanlan.

Sydney Mulka earned the shutout in goal.

The loss drops Roy-Hart to 1-5 in the league.

In the other N-O games Akron and Wilson both scored wins to remain tied for second place at 4-1. Akron nipped Newfane (2-4) 1-0 and Wilson downed Barker (0-6) 3-0 on goals by Leia Cloy, Skylar Munnikhuysen and Abi Couturier.
