Albion girls blank rival Medina

A two goal scoring spurt late in the first half keyed Albion to a 3-0 victory over visiting Medina this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer game.

Breaking away from a 0-0 deadlock, Albion got what proved to be the game winning goal by Lizzy Baker with 8:01 remaining in the first half.

Emily Blanchard quickly doubled the Purple Eagles advantage when she scored with 2:16 to go in the half off an assist from Nicole Eldred.

Mariah Elsenheimer later put a lock on the Purple Eagles victory when she scored with 12:30 remaining in the second half.

Isabella Prest earned the shutout in goal for the Purple Eagles.

Albion improves to 3-4 in the league while Medina slips to 2-4-1.

Roy-Hart 13, CSAT 1

Amber Villella had 4 goals, Emma Lindke 3, Sophia LaPort 2 and Ava Bligh 4 assists and 1 goal to lead Roy-Hart (4-3) past CSAT (0-7) 13-1.

Wilson 5, Barker 0

Kayla Neumann had 3 goals and 1 assist to lead undefeated (7-0) Wilson past Barker (1-6) 5-0.

Jenn Darlak and Lauren Couturier also each had a goal for Wilson.

Newfane 5, Akron 1

Kayleigh Daniels had 2 goals and Kaylee Heschke, Emily Foltz and Adelyn Burns 1 each to pace Newfane (6-1) to a 5-1 win over Akron (4-2-1).
