Exploding out to a four goal first half lead, Albion went on to defeat visiting Roy-Hart 6-1 this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer game.

Albion jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on a pair of goals by Emily Blanchard, the first of which came in the game’s first half minute.

Roy-Hart did cut the deficit to 2-1 on a goal by Emma Lindke with 18 minutes to go in the half but the Lady Rams would get no closer.

Albion countered with a barrage of three quick goals over that final 18 minutes to break the contest open. Blanchard, Mikayla Yaskulski and Mariah Elsenheimer took turns scoring the goals during that key stretch.
