Albion girls best Roy-Hart in N-O soccer

Avenging an earlier season overtime loss (2-1), Albion used a pair of unanswered second half goals to defeat visiting Roy-Hart 3-1 in a Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer game this evening.

Albion jumped out to a 1-0 lead 12 minutes into the first half as Abby Scanlan scored off an assist from Nikki Creasey.

Roy-Hart rallied to knot the score when Kara Choate tallied with nine minutes to go in the half off an assist from Ada Livergood.

However, Albion claimed the win on a pair of second half goals by Scanlan off assists first from Kenzi Hapeman and then from Claire Squicciarini.

Albion improves to 4-3 and Roy-Hart is 5-2.

Wilson 4, Akron 3

Front-running Wilson remained undefeated at 7-0 with a 4-3 win over Akron which slips to 2-4-1.

Lilly O’Lay scored two goals for Wilson as Meg Musall and Kenzi Beyer each added one.

Kara Sequin, Samantha Bellis and Natalie Karmazyn scored the goals for Wilson.

Newfane 4, Barker 0

Liza MacFarlane scored two goals and Sophia Tronolone and Angelina DiTullio each added one to lead Newfane (2-4-1) to a 4-0 win over Barker (0-7).
