Albion girls best Roy-Hart
Getting point production from 10 different players, Albion posted a 39-29 victory over visiting Roy-Hart this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League girls basketball game.
Caitlynn Snook scored 7 and Brylie Hapeman and Natalie DiCureia 6 for Albion which improves to 2-1 in N-O action.
Ellie Todd and Ashley Hill both tallied 7 and Meghan Washington 6 for Roy-Hart which slips to 0-3.
Trailing 12-6 after one period, Albion used a big 17 point second period to rally into a 23-15 lead at the half. The Purple Eagles maintained a 33-18 advantage at the three-quarter mark.
Wilson 40, Medina 34
Skylar Munnikhuysen had 13 points, 8 steals and 7 rebounds and Emily Kelly 12 points, 8 rebounds and 7 steals to lead Wilson to a 40-34 victory over visiting Medina.
Je’ne Brown scored 18 and Camri King 9 for Medina.
Trailing 11-6 after one period, Wilson rallied into an 18-18 tie at the half and into a 27-24 lead at the three-quarter mark.
Wilson is now 2-2 and Medina 0-2 in league play.
Newfane 70, Barker 27
Paige Emborsky scored 20, Makenzie Perry 13 and Emily Foltz 10 to lead Newfane to a 70-27 win over Barker.
Hailey Brown scored 9 for Barker.
Newfane is now 4-0 and Barker 0-2.
