Albion girls best Lyndonville; Barker wins
Getting point production from nine different players, Albion rolled to a 53-13 victory over visiting Lyndonville this evening in a non league girls basketball game.
Brylie Hapeman and Kendall Derisley each scored 9 points to lead Albion’s balanced attack as Lexi Wolck added 8, Paige Derisley and Honesty Little 6, Sarah Gregori 5, Tess Pettit and Natalie Lathrop 4 and Sydney Mulka 2.
Alecia Hinkson scored 5, Anna Lewis 4 and Prezli Silversmith and Jenahlee Reimer 2 for Lyndonville.
Kendall Derisley scored 7, including a three, and Hapeman 4 in the opening period to spark Albion out to a 13-4 lead.
Six different players then contributed baskets in the second period as the Purple Eagles increased their advantage to 25-6 at the half.
Threes by Hapeman and Gregori highlighted the third period which ended with Albion up 39-10.
Albion is now 2-3 and Lyndonville 3-3.
Barker 34, Kendall 28
Sydnie Luckman scored 9, Serena Harris 8, Rachel Parfinski 7 and Gabby Baker 5 to lead Barker to its first win in four starts, a 34-28 non league victory over visiting Kendall.
Brittney Marks scored 12, Lizzie Sutphen 6 and Jenna Regan 4 for Kendall which is also 1-3.
Barker led 14-13 at the half.
Oakfield-Alabama 64, Holley 33
Oakfield-Alabama downed Holley 64-33 in a Genesee Region League game as Brianna Smith scored 26.
Madison Marsh scored 16 and Olivia Radford 12 for Holley.
