Albion downs Medina in N-O tennis

Improving to 5-2, Albion downed host Medina 3 1/2-2 in a Niagara-Orleans League tennis match this afternoon.

Wins by Carson Bader at first singles, Aiden Miller at third singles and by the first doubles team of Emily Graham – Jordan Marshall provided the margin of victory for the Purple Eagles.

Henry Rigerman won at second singles for Medina.

In other N-O action, front-running Akron (8-0) trimmed Barker 3-2 and Newfane downed Roy-Hart 4-1.

Wins by Will Chubb at first singles, Caleb Suckow at second singles and by the first doubles team of Sean Brennan – Sean O’Shaughnessy earned Akron the victory.

Willard Nellist won at third singles and the duo of Kevin Hadsell – Eduardo Cabrera took second doubles for Barker which is now 4-3.

Connor Gunby and Ty Williams scored wins at the first two singles spots to spark Newfane to the victory.
