Albion boys win key track battle of unbeatens

Defending champion Albion posted a rainy 73-58 win over host Wilson this afternoon in a key late season Niagara-Orleans League boys track meet clash of unbeatens.

The Purple Eagles improve to 5-0 and the Lakemen slip to 3-1.

Cencere Lowe was a double winner in the Long Jump and Triple Jump for Albion which also had Finn McCue take the 400, Adrian Figueroa the 400 Hurdles, Kwame Riley the 200, Nick Harling the High Jump and Kyle Radder the 110 Hurdles.

Jayden Ruble doubled in the 1600 and 3200 and Jack Mahar in the Pole Vault and Shotput for Wilson.

Wilson downed Albion in the girls’ meet 92-49 as Marissa Schultz took both the Triple Jump and Pole Vault, Madeline Schultz the 100 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles, Bella Thrush the Long Jump and 100 and Addison Elia the 200 and 400.

The Roy-Hart boys defeated Newfane 83-60 as Jack Johnson doubled in the 110 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles and Landon Guild in the 100 and 200.

Ben Dickinson was a triple winner for Newfane in the 400, High Jump and Triple Jump.

Newfane bested Roy-Hart 76-60 in the girls’ meet as Kyle Bowman was a triple winner in the 800, 1500 and 3000.

Julia Miles was a double winner for Roy-Hart in the 100 Hurdles and High Jump.

The Akron at Medina meet was not completed due to the weather.

In the portion of the boys’ meet that was completed Medina had Jackson Moreland won both the 100 and 200 and Kaedon Cleveland the 110 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles.

For Medina in the portion of the girls’ meet that was complete Ellie Roath doubled in the 100 Hurdles and 200.
