Albion boys track team bests Newfane

Improving to 3-0 the defending  champion Albion boys track team defeated visiting Newfane 91-50 in a Niagara-Orleans League meet this afternoon.

Jahmeek Riley doubled in the 100 and High Jump and Cencere Lowe in the Long Jump and Triple Jump to lead the way for Albion.

The Purple Eagles also got individual event wins from Sh’kwe Riley (400), Brian Spall (400 Hurdles), Ozzie Matos (200), Brendan LeBaron (Shotput) and Ellwood Hafner (Pole Vault).

Newfane got a split on the day by downing Albion 109-32 in the girls’ meet.

Mel Myers was a triple winner in the Long Jump, High Jump and Triple Jump and Leah Siegmann doubled in the 1500 and 3000.

Abby Scanlan was a double winner for Albion in the 100 and 200.

Roy-Hart and Akron split
Five individual event double winners sparked the Roy-Hart boys to a 99-39 win over host Akron.

The Rams double winners included Jay Heideman (1600, 3200), Trent Choate (200, Long Jump), Chris Ulrich (400, Triple Jump), Brandin Allen (110 Hurdles, 400 Hurdles) and Landen Guild (100, High Jump).

Akron gained a split by winning the girls’ meet 105-36 as Sam Bellis doubled in the High Jump and Long Jump and Sophia Jones in the 100 and 200.

Nadia White was a double winner for Roy-Hart in the 800 and Triple Jump.

Wilson sweeps Barker
Wilson defeated Barker 91-46 in the boys’ meet and 72-64 in the girls’ competition.

Paul Smith was a quadruple winner for the Wilson boys in the 100, 200, Long Jump and Triple Jump.

Mason Allee Castro doubled for Barker in the 1600 and 3200.

Maddie Schultz won both the 100 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles for the Wilson girls.
