Albion boys top Medina to repeat as N-O track champions; Mustangs win girls’ meet

Photos by Cheryl Wertman – Albion’s Nick Harling won the High Jump during the Purple Eagles league title clinching win over host Medina this afternoon.

Capping off a fourth straight undefeated (6-0) Niagara-Orleans League boys track championship season Albion downed host Medina 89-33 this afternoon.

Kwame Riley was a double winner in the 100 and 200, Cencere Lowe in the Long Jump and Triple Jump and Myles Beach in the 1600 and 3200 to lead the way for Albion.

The Purple Eagles also got individual event wins from Finn McCue (400), Tye Talbot (400 Hurdles), Wesley Olles (800) and Nick Harling (High Jump).

Kaedon Cleveland won the 110 Hurdles and Trenton Morley the Pole Vault for Medina.

Medina earned a split on the day by downing Albion 69-50 in the girls’ meet.

Madeline Mark was a triple winner in the 800, 1500 and 3000 and Emiliana Batista doubled in the 400 and High Jump to spark Medina.

The Mustangs also got indiviudual event wins from Heyleigh Brewer (100), Aurora Owczaraczyk (200), Lydia Fox (Long Jump), Ellie Roath (100 Hurdles) and Penelope Schalck (400 Hurdles).

For Albion, Gina Sidari on the Pole Vault and S’koi Sanders the Triple Jump.
