Albion boys, Roy-Hart girls cap 10-0 N-O swim title seasons; Medina sweeps Barker

The Albion boys and Roy-Hart girls swim teams both scored victories this afternoon to cap off 10-0 Niagara-Orleans League championship seasons.

The Albion boys downed Akron 61-33 as Matt Kovaleski doubled in the 50 Free and 100 Breaststroke and Harrison Brown in the 200 Free and 100 Free. Thomas Furmanski also won the 100 Backstroke and Sam Sanchez the 100 Butterfly. Kovaleski broke his own school record in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:06.20.

The Roy-Hart girls defeated host Newfane 114-52 as Mandy Hill doubled in the Individual Medley and 500 Free and Kayla Hagen in the 100 Free and 100 Backstroke.

The Roy-Hart boys also bested Newfane 113-49 to finish at 8-2 as Carter Green doubled in the 200 Free and 500 Free, Will Rickard in the 50 Free and 100 Free and Michael Miller in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke..

Akron downed Albion in the girls meet 55-34 as Madison Kaczmarek doubled in the 50 Free and 100 Free and Mindy Doktor in the Individual Medley and 500 Free.

The Medina boys defeated visiting Barker 104-63 to finish at 6-4.

Natalie Bruning in route to a win in the 200 Free for Barker.

Ray Paull doubled in the 50 Free and 100 Breaststroke for the Seahorses as Chris Goyette won the 200 Free, Hunter Heil the 100 Butterfly and August Pietrafesa the 100 Backstroke.

Ryan Santarsiero doubled for Barker in the Individual Medley and 500 Free as Ryan Stevener added a win in the 100 Free. Dominic Clementi, Michael Dalton and Alexander Jenks were each on two winning relays for the Raiders.

Completing the sweep, the Medina girls defeated Barker 123-33 to finish at 5-5.

Grace Cogovan doubled in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Breaststroke and Hannah Heil in the 50 Free and 100 Free for Medina as Brooklyn Brown took the 100 Butterfly and Olivia Carter the 100 Backstroke.

Amanda Woodruff was on all three winning relays for the Seahorses as Heil, Brown and Rebecca Lunden were each on two.

Natalie Bruning won the 200 Free for Barker.
