Albion boys romp to open N-O track title defense; Roy-Hart sweeps Barker

Myles Beach of Albion, left, won the boys 800 and Hunter Huscher came in first in the 200 meter race.

Albion opened defense of its Niagara-Orleans League boys track championship by romping past visiting Akron 123-18 this afternoon.

The Purple Eagles were led by a trio of individual event double winners as Cencere Lowe took the 100 and Long Jump. Luke Bell the Shotput and Discus and Kyle Radder the High Jump and 110 Hurdles.

Akron won the girls’ meet 99-42 as Madigan Reagan was a triple winner in the 100, 200 and 400 and Brooke Millhollen doubled in the Pole Vault and 800.

For Albion, Sophia Wendt won the Triple Jump. Mia Standish the 100 Hurdles and Loralei Gailie the Long Jump.

Roy-Hart sweeps Barker
Roy-Hart swept Barker in the other N-O meet winning the boys’ competition 97-33 and the girls’ 74-63.

Braden Ricker was a triple winner for the Rams in the 100, 200 and High Jump.

The Lady Rams had a trio of double winners as Taylor Alvord took the 800 and 3000, Addison Carr the 200 and 400 and Kylie McOmber the Long Jump and Triple Jump.
