Hit hard by graduation with the loss of 12 seniors, Albion faces a rebuilding task heading into the Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer season.

Junior midfielder Marcos Sanchez, senior goalie Noah Plain, junior defender Kyler McQuillan and junior defender/midfielder Jacob Squicciarini provide the only real varsity experience for Albion.

The Purple Eagles losses from a squad which went 9-2-1 in league action include first team N-O All-League honorees Trevor Hadick (defender) and Jackson Hamilton (midfield) along with second team selections Jon Poole (defender) and Sam Remley (forward) and honorable mention picks Chris Reed (goalie) and Dani Biterbiev.

“We did lose 12 seniors but we are looking at this as a great learning year and a growing year,” Coach Greg Martillotta said.

The Purple Eagles are also looking to seniors Brendon Brown (forward) and Moises Garza (midfield) along with juniors Drake Arnold (midfield), Ryan Reed (defender/midfield), Jacob Legget (defender) and Morgan Seielstad (goalie).
