Albion bests Alden in youth football

Albion scored a pair of wins at Alden Saturday in Niagara-Orleans Football Association (NOFA) competition.

In the Beginners Division Albion defeated Alden 14-7. Jayden Rivera had 88 yards rushing including a 59 yard TD, Hudson Manella 82 yards and a 44 yard td and Matthew Schomske 12 yards.

On defense, Landyn Galligan 9 tackles and a fumble recovery and Rivera 7 tackles.

In the JV Division, Albion downed Alden 40-7.  Noah Harrison had 316 yards off offense and 4 touchdowns.  He caught a 56 yard td from Roman Manella, and had three TD runs of 43, 51 and 85. Nate Gibson had a 24 yard TD run and Wesley Olles caught a 50 yard td from Manella.  Pyerce Aherns and Gibson caught PAT’s.

Defensively, Harrison had 13 tackles and a interception, Logan Kast 6 tackles,  Olles 5, Joshua Schoeberlein and Dennis Mathis 4 each.  Jayovanni Ostrander had a interception and Chrisjen Winters a fumble recovery.

Albion won the Mini Division game by forfeit.
