Albion and Barker boys swim teams score road wins to remain tied for N-O lead

Albion and Barker both scored victories on the road this afternoon to remain tied for the Niagara-Orleans League boys swim lead.

Improving to 8-1, Albion defeated Akron 106-63 and Barker downed Medina 92-78.

Matt Kovaleski doubled in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Breaststroke and Carlitos Sanchez in the 50 Free and 100 Free for Albion as Tyler Kast took the 100 Butterfly.

Barker was led by a trio of double winners as Adam Wagner took the 200 Free and 100 Free, Andrew Jenks the 100 Individual Medley and 100 Butterfly and Collin Webb the 50 Free and 100 Breaststroke. Ryan Santarsiero added a win in the 500 Free for the Raiders.

Ray Paull won the 100 Breaststroke for Medina which slips to 4-4.

In the other boys meet, Roy-Hart defeated Newfane 100-69 as Will Rickard doubled in the 50 Free and 100 Free.

In the girls competition, Roy-Hart and Akron both scored wins to remain tied for first place at 8-1.

Roy-Hart defeated Newfane 98-72 as Kayla Hagen doubled in the 100 Free and 100 Backstroke. Lauren Gaughran doubled for Newfane in the 200 Fee and 500 Free.

Akron downed Albion 135-35 as Alexis Cramer was a quadruple winner in the 100 Free, 100 Back, 200 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay as was Madison Harris in the 200 Free, 500 Free, 200 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay.

In the other meet, Medina nipped Barker 86-84 as Hannah Heil doubled in the 50 Free and 100 Free while Margaret Klotzbach took the 200 Free, Brooklyn Brown the 100 Butterfly and Alyssa Beyer the 500 Free.

Sara Gendrue doubled for Barker in the 100 Individual Medley and 100 Breaststroke.
