Albion and Medina will open the high school football season on the road

Albion and Medina will both open the high school football season on the road on the first weekend of September.

The Purple Eagles will visit Iroquois on Friday Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. and the Mustangs will travel to St. Mary’s of Lancaster on Saturday Sept. 2 at 2 p.m..

Interestingly, the Purple Eagles schedule includes two Thursday night games and the Mustangs one Thursday night and two Saturday afternoon contests.

Roy-Hart/Barker will also open the season on Sept. 1 at home against Burgard.

Albion will also visit Dunkirk on Friday Sept. 8 before the Purple Eagles home opener on Friday Sept. 15 against Roy-Hart/Barker.

The Purple Eagles will then take to the road again for games at Maryvale on Thursday Sept. 21 and at Burgard on Friday Sept. 29.

Albion will host Lew-Port on Thursday October 5 and Lake Shore on Friday Oct. 13 before closing out the regular season at rival Medina on Friday Oct. 20.

Medina’s home opener will be on Friday Sept. 8 against Eden. The Mustangs will also host Roy-Hart/Barker on Sept. 29, JFK on Friday Oct. 6 and Albion on Oct. 20.

The Mustangs other road games will be at Cleveland Hill on Saturday Sept. 16, at Akron on Friday Sept. 22 and at Newfane on Thursday Oct. 12.

Roy-Hart/Barker’s other home games will be against JFK on Sept. 22, Cleveland Hill on Thursday Oct. 12 and Akron on Oct. 20. The other road games will be at Newfane on Sept. 8, and Akron on Oct. 20.
