Albion and Medina to meet in key N-O games

Rivals Albion and Medina will meet in a pair of key Niagara-Orleans League basketball games on Tuesday.
Looking to maintain sole possession of first place, the undefeated (7-0) Medina boys squad will visit Albion at 7 p.m. Currently at 4-3 in N-O competition, the Purple Eagles dropped a 60-45 decision to the Mustangs in the earlier season meeting at Medina. The Mustangs will also host Newfane on Friday.
Currently at 6-1 in the league, the Albion girls squad will look to remain a game back of front-running Wilson (9-0) when the Purple Eagles visit Medina at 6:30 p.m. The Mustangs, which are now 5-3 in N-O action, dropped a 48-35 decision to the Purple Eagles earlier in the season at Albion.
In Genesee Region League boys basketball action, Lyndonville will host Wheatland-Chili on Wednesday and then visit Elba in a key battle for the Division II lead on Friday. Lyndonville and Elba are currently tied for the division lead at 9-1. The Tigers are 14-1 overall.
