Albion and Medina swimmers split

Both schools came away with a victory as Albion and rival Medina split in a Niagara-Orleans League swim meet this afternoon at Albion.

Albion won the boys’ meet 59-35 and Medina took the girls’ competition 62-31.

Chase Froman doubled in the 200 Freestyle and 500 Free for the Albion boys squad as Thomas Furmanski took the 50 Free, Sam Sanchez the 100 Butterfly and Ryan Krenning the 100 Free.

Sanchez was also on three winning relays while Froman, Krenning and Bryce Wilson were each on two.

Isaac Pace won the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Breaststroke and Hunter Heil the 100 Backstroke for Medina.

Albion improves to 4-1-1 while Medina slips to 3-2-1.

Hannah Heil doubled in the 100 Free and 200 Free and Margaret Klotzbach in the 500 Free and 100 Backstroke for the Medina girls squad as Hannah Kenward took the Individual Medley and Brooklynn Brown the 100 Butterfly.

Heil, Brown, Amanda Woodruff and Emma Schwarzott teamed up to win both the 200 Free and 400 Free relays.

Michaela Pantano won the 50 Free and Rylee Pearles the 100 Breaststroke for Albion. They both also teamed up with Devynn Pearles and Sierra Kast to win the 200 Medley Relay.

Medina is now 3-3 and Albion 1-5.

Roy-Hart sweeps Barker

Roy-Hart swept past Barker winning the boys’ meet 93-64 and the girls’ competition 106-39.

Noah Stern doubled in the 50 Free and 100 Butterfly for the Roy-Hart boys while the girls squad had Kayla Hagen double in the 50 Free and 100 Back and Madison Ohol in the 100 Free and 200 Individual Medley.

Both Roy-Hart teams improve to 6-0 while the Barker boys are 2-4 and the girls 0-6.
