Albion and Medina downtowns will welcome trick-or-treaters today for Beggar’s Nite

Downtown business owners in Albion and Medina are ready for several hundred children to visit today. The businesses and other organizations will be handing out treats to kids in costume.

Medina has the event from 5:30 to 7 p.m., with participants lining up in the parking lot near the Medicine Shoppe on East Center Street.

The Albion Merchants Association starts its Beggar’s Night at 6 p.m. with participants (children 13 and under) meeting at the firehall on Platt Street. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Scarecrow Contest winners in Albion will be announced later during Beggar’s Night.
