Albion and Holley score season opening youth football victories

Photos by Cheryl Wertman – The Niagara Orleans Football League (NOFA) season got underway today. Here Albion’s Boe Preston tackles Holley’s Gage Yockel in a Mini Division game at Holley.

Albion and host Holley both came away with victories this afternoon to open the Niagara Orleans Football League (NOFA) season.

Holley won the JV Division game 47-0 and Albion took the Varsity Division game 41-0.

William Kludt scored 6 touchdowns for Holley in the JV game, 5 on offense and 1 on defense. Hunter Smith scored the other TD.

On defense for Holley, Miguel Vazquez-Pulcino had 5 tackles, Josh Siopoch 4 tackles and a fumble recovery and Blake Coleman and Destin Kuyal sacks.

For Albion, Jeremiah Bennett had 7 tackles an Kwami Riley 6.

In the Varsity game for Albion, Sh’kwe Riley and Shakarion Drisdom both scored 2 touchdowns as Jacob Hughson and Xavier Bryd each added 1.

Drisdom also had a two-point conversion pass to Bryden McMurray as Seth Krennng, Auston Johnson and Mason Lynch each added an extra point.

Defensively, Hughson and Byrd both had interceptions, Aguil Gaffney 5 tackles and a blocked punt and Riley 5 tackles.

Albion also won the Mini Division game as Noah Harrison and Jaysanni Ostrander both had 2 touchdowns and Boe Preston 1. Harrison had a TD reception from Roman Manella.

Defensively, Mason Snook had 6 tackles and Harrison 5.
