Albion and Holley girls score tourney wins

Photo by Cheryl Wertman – Cami London, who scored 4 goals, brings the ball up field during this evening’s Albion Tournament semifinal as Kayla Weyrauch pursues for Pembroke.

Building up a 3-0 halftime advantage, the host Purple Eagles went on to defeat Pembroke 5-1 this evening in the semifinals of the Albion girls soccer tournament.

Albion will now face Alexander in the championship game on Saturday. Alexander downed Medina 5-0 in the other semifinal. Medina will face Pembroke in the consolation game on Saturday.

Cami London scored two goals and Julia Button one in the first half for Albion. London also netted a pair of goals in the second half.

Kenzie Snook had 2 assists for the Purple Eagles as Shayla Higgins and Rori Higgins each had 1.

Holley 2, Cal-Mum 0

Holley blanked Cal-Mum 2-0 in the semifinals of the Wheatland-Chili girls soccer tournament.

Brianna Tomasino and Brynn Thomas scored the goals for Holley as Jayna Burris and Kyla Burne earned the assists.

Holley will play in the championship game on Saturday.
