Albion and Barker split; Wilson sweeps Medina in N-O track openers

Niagara-Orleans League track and field competition got off to a chilly start this afternoon as Albion split at Barker and Wilson swept visiting Medina.

Albion defeated Barker 73-67 in the boys’ meet as Kyle Radder was a double winner in the 110 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles and Kwame Riley in the 100 and 200.

Mason Allee Castro was a triple winner for Barker in the 800, 1600 and 3200.

Barker bested Albion 91-48 in the girls’ meet as Jordan Kinne doubled in the 100 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles and Makayla Woock in the 800 and 1500.

Meganne Moore doubled in the High Jump and Triple Jump and S’koi Sanders in the 400 and Long Jump for Albion.

The Wilson boys defeated Medina 79-62 as Jayden Ruble doubled in the 1600 and 3200 and Michael Ruble in the 400 and Pole Vault.

Bryson Costich was a double winner for Medina in the Long Jump and Triple Jump.

The Wilson girls completed the sweep by downing Medina 82-51. Maddy Schultz was a triple winner in the High Jump, 100 Hurdles and 400 Hurdles while Marissa Schultz doubled in the Triple Jump and Pole Vault and Addison Elia in the 200 and 400.

Madison Mark was a double winner for Medina in the 1500 and 3000.

The Roy-Hart vs. Akron meet was postponed.
