Albion and Barker boys swim teams post victories to remain tied for N-O lead

Albion and Barker both scored Niagara-Orleans League boys swim victories this afternoon to remain tied for first place at 7-1.

Albion defeated Newfane 64-30 and Barker downed Akron 102-65.

Matt Kovaleski was a double winner in the 200 Inividual Medley and 100 Breaststroke and Carlitos Sanchez in the 50 Free and 100 Free to lead the way for Albion as Sam Sanchez took the 100 Butterfly and Thomas Furmanski the 100 Backstroke.

Andrew Jenks doubled in the Individual Medley and Butterfly and Collin Webb in the 50 Free and Backstroke for Barker as Adam Wagner took the 200 Free and Joe Baronich the Breaststroke.

In the other boys meet, Medina defeated host Roy-Hart 90-80 as Dan Heil doubled in the Individual Medley and Backstroke and Cole Seefeldt captured the Breaststroke.

Dan Heil also teamed up with Ray Paull, Hunter Heil and Mason Pecoraro to win the 200 Medley Relay. Pecoraro and Hunter Heil also teamed up with August Pietrafesa and Jack Hill to take the 200 Free Relay.

Madigan Lang doubled in the 200 and 500 free and Will Rickard in the 50 Free and 100 Free for Roy-Hart.

The Akron girls stayed undefeated at 7-0 with a 113-56 win over Barker as Skyler Massey doubled in the Individual Medley and Butterfly.

The Roy-Hart girls stayed in the title chase by downing Medina 122-48 to improve to 6-1.

Amanda Hill doubled in the Butterfly and Backstroke and Madison Ohol in the 200 Free and 500 Free to lead Roy-Hart as Jenna Heiser took the Individual Medley, Holly DiMayo the Breaststroke and Kayla Hagen the 100 Free.

Hannah Heil won the 50 Free for Medina.

The Newfane girls improved to 4-3 with a 73-20 win over Albion as Lauren Gaughran doubled in the 50 Free and 500 Free and Meghan Mietlicki in the 100 Free and Backstroke.
