Albion and Attica split in youth football

Albion and Attica each picked up a pair of victories in Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) competition on Saturday with the Eagles taking the Mini and JV Division contests.

Beginners Division
Attica 39 Albion 7
Jayden Rivera had a 68 yard touchdown run and the PAT on the opening drive for Albion.  Rivera ended up with 81 yards rushing,  Matthew Schomske picked up 10 on the ground.

Landyn Galligan led the defense with 8 tackles,  Clayton Vonglis 5 and Rivera 4.

Mini Division
Albion 6 Attica 0
Jonah Elsenheimer’s 8 yard TD run on 4th down late in the second quarter was the only score in the battle of undefeated teams.

Boe Preston had 18 yards rushing and Drake Schomske 8.  LJ Simmons had 39 yards recieving and Jack Conn 6.

Preston had a big day on defense with 7 tackles and a interception.  Rocco Sidari 5 tackles, Schomske and Garret Jones 4 each.  Schomske and Conn also had fumble recoveries.

JV Division
Albion 24 Attica 0
Noah Harrison was all over the field for the Eagles.  He had 76 yards rushing with 1 TD, caught 2 TD’s, threw for 1 TD and had 9 tackles on defense.

Roman Manella threw both TD passes  to Harrison and caught a 54 yd TD from Harrison.  Wesley Olles had 52 yards rushing and Jayovanni Ostrander had 34 yards.

Joshua Schoeberlein had 9 tackles,  a sack and fumble recovery.  Ethan Cornick and Olles each had 6 tackles and a sack,  Nate Gibson and Ostrander 5.  Mason Snook also had 4 tackles and a fumble recovery.

Varsity Division
Attica 42 Albion 0
Kwame Riley had 27 yards rushing with 4 tackles.  Auston Johnson 12 yards rushing.  Johnathan Eibl added 4 tackles.
