Albion and Akron post N-O tennis wins
Albion regained the .500 mark at 4-4 in Niagara-Orleans League tennis competition by downing visiting Barker 3-2 this afternoon.
Singles wins by the trio of Carson Bader, Leo Bolton and Josh DePoty earned the victory for the Purple Eagles.
Barker got wins from the doubles duos of Ella Gooding – Willard Nellist and Aidan Mescall – Carla Stoloski.
Staying perfect at 11-0, Akron, which has already locked up the title, posted a 4-1 N-O win over Roy-Hart this afternoon.
Straight set shutout wins at the first two singles positions by Will Chubb and Caleb Suckow led the way for the Tigers.
