Albion ‘9’ trims Akron Orange
Improving to 3-0, Albion edged past the visiting Akron Orange 3-2 this evening in a Tri County Babe Ruth League game.
Thomas Furmanski went the distance on the mound for Albion allowing only 2 hits and striking out 19.
Liam Ward drove in all three Albion runs with a two-run double in the first inning and an RBI single in the sixth which snapped a 2-2 tie. Ryan Krenning reached on a single and stole second and third setting up Ward’s game winning hit.
Albion next visits the Alden Gold next Tuesday.
