Albion 15U tops Elba in diamond opener

Jacob Hughson bangs out a hit to ignite Albion’s big six run first inning uprising.
Taking charge at the outset with a big six run first inning, the Albion 15U baseball team went on to defeat Elba 16-6 this evening in the season opening GLOW League game at Williams Park in Batavia.
A leadoff single by Jacob Hughson ignited Albion’s big first inning which was highlighted by a two-run double by Mason Bennett who had a total of 4 RBI on the evening.
Cade Wolcott also banged out a two-run double for Albion in the second inning.
Bennett, Wolcott and Javon Jones each finished with two hits and Caleb Fox one. Jones and Fox each drove in a run.
Adrian Kingdollar went the distance on the mound for Albion hurling a one hitter with 5 strikeouts.
Albion next faces Legion at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Williams Park.
