Akron trims Medina in N-O field hockey

A lone second quarter goal proved to be enough to earn Akron a 1-0 win over Medina in a Niagara-Orleans League field hockey game this morning at Vets Park.
Natalie Bergman scored the goal for Akron which is now 2-0 in N-O action while Medina slips to 1-1.
Wilson also improved to 2-0 with a 2-0 win over Newfane (1-1) on goals by Natalie Rossie and Addy Jesserer.
Barker evened its N-O record at 1-1 with a 10-0 win over Kenmore (0-2) as Addison Szafranski, Sophia Gerhardt, Cole Carnes and Madelina Pavlock each scored a pair of goals.
